About the Institute

Essae Chandran Institute (ECI) contributes significantly and meaningfully to the growth and development of individual s and organisations, through Education and Training with the focus in the area of Quality , Productivity and Development of Human Potential.

Inspired by ideology and philosophy of Japanese Management and Industrial Success, Essae Chandran and Dr. G.K. Valecha combined their efforts towards creating an Institute in 1985 that would be responsive to the present and future needs of Indian society and industry so as to contribute to Individual and Organisational Progress, Happiness and Prosperity.

Essae Chandran Institute strives to have a balance of academic thought, philosophy and theory with pragmatic applications of result oriented techniques, tools, methods and practices.

Purpose of Institute

 - To create an awareness and act as a catalyst for industry and individual action with regard to 

    Quality, Productivity and Development of Human Potential.

 - To provide education and training opportunities in individual development, enabling good citizens and future leaders.

 - To assist organizations, in their endeavor towards building a Quality Culture, using the philosophies

    and practices related to Kaizen , 5S, TQM and the like.

Publications

Essae Chandran Institute is into designing of educational Multi - Color Posters, which is a visual representation of various concepts of management such as Teamwork, Kaizen, 5S,etc.

Essae Chandran Institute has a collection of research papers, articles and books from various sources in the area of Quality, Productivity and Development of Human Potential. Some of the books published by the institute are Public Speaking, Dynamics of Action, Quality Circles, Wage War on Waste and Quality text  in Indian Context.

Fully equipped, complete with audio and visual teaching aids, air-conditioned class rooms (Deming and Juran Hall)

Aim

"Life is one indivisible whole" - Mahatma Gandhi The course on 'Quality of Life' aims at understanding the different personalities of life and integrating those personalities. It enables one to enrich and empower to enhance the quality of life.

Outcome

On successful completion of the course, the participant will be in a position to discover oneself, the direction that one would like to sail for leading a meaningful and self-fulfilling life.

Objective of the Course

 - To cater to the professional and felt needs of young individuals, who desire a balance in the professional and personal life.

 - Everyone is unique and has potential. Some tap their potential but most do not. In order to make them understand their

    intrinsic resources and maximize their potential is the purpose of the course.

 - The exposure of 30 contact hours will enable a person to identify the strength, enrich the knowledge and enhance self-esteem.

Pedagogy

 - The pedagogy is designed that everyone will gain self confidence to tap their inherent resources.

 - Teaching will be through lectures, case studies, group discussions, presentations, and video programs.

Participant Profile

Person with learning. unable bring out be in an open mind to earn by. One who believes one's potential but to it (manifest). Must conversant English.

About the faculty

Essae Chandran, Chairman of ECI, is the recipient of "Best Quality Man" Award. He has over 45 years of experience in managing small and medium scale industry and has published books on Quality Circle, Public Speaking, Dynamics of Action and Quality text in Indian Context. He was trained by union of Japanese Scientists Engineers (JUSE) Tokyo.

 

Prakash Venkatesan has a MS degree from Wisconsin University, USA (specialization in Quality). He has experience in teaching, training and managing medium scale industry for more than 12 years. He was trained by Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) in Tokyo.
